Wednesday 23d
My dear Henry,
I enclose this invitation
which came this morning –
I think I would not try
to go to Vermont – I thought
as you did that it would
be pleasant but I fear
you have too much to do
beside – there is the Slavery
article to be written – with
many other things – you
cannot do them all in a
manner satisfactory to yourself
All well – your own
Frances –
