Albany Feb 9th 1853
My dear Father,
Owen Marrin
Birth: 1806 Death: 1854-12-26

has just been here to ask me
to write to you for a letter of
recommendation for him. He
wants to get a contract
for work on the Susquehanna
RailRoad. I told him I did
not think you knew any
thing about the Rolettings on
the Road, or even the Directors
but he is desirous of at
least a general letter of
recommendation to help his
claim.
Affectionately your son
Frederic W. Seward
