was pretty much filled
with an account of the
bird we found in the
School room. he proved to
be wild – and no doubt
a yellow bird – not canary,

very very happy bird was
he –

And now I have little more
to tell you. except that
it is quite warm and
the birds sing merrily.
I wish you were here to
enjoy their music –
I received a letter from
Lucy Hamilton
Birth: 1841-12-07 Death: 1898-01-21
– she
sent love to you and
a very kind invitation
from herself and mother

for me to spend a few

myself – of indigo – in lieu of
black.
Much love from all
Affectionately
your sister Fanny
