Biography

Catharine Kirkpatrick worked as a servant for Clara McLellan in Auburn, NY in the 1840s. She then worked as a servant for the Rogers family in Pamelia, NY. In 1847 Clara offers Frances Catharine's services as a child caretaker, however, Frances says that Catharine is too close in age to William Henry Seward Jr., to be his caretaker.
