wrote me a few days ago from Washington
that my name had been sent to the
Senate as Counsul to Stuttgart Stuttgardt, — and
advised me to write to you and ask
for aid in having the appointment
Confirmed. I am sorry to trouble you
in the matter, but I must – Will you
do me what you can in my favor –
