New York, Thursday
My dear Father,
We left Newport
yesterday afternoon, by way of Provi-
dence, spent a couple of hours
there in looking at the town, took
the train to Stonington, and
there the boat, on which we slept,
arriving here to breakfast with
Harriet Weed
Mr Weed
I have not seen the Blatchford's
yet, but am just about going
round there.
Affectionately yours
F.W.S.
