Biography

Antoine Philippe was the second son of Louis, 5th Duke of Orleans and his brother, Louis Philippe became King of France. He was arrested with the other Bourbons who remained in France during the French Revolution. During his imprisonment he contracted tuberculosis. He was exiled to Philadelphia in 1796. He travelled America for two years before returning toe England. He died in England in 1807.
