Biography

William Radde, Jr. was the eldest son of William Radde, a publisher of mostly medical texts in Philadelphia. William Radde, Jr. received his education from Columbia College as well as schools in Germany and France. After he finished school and returned from Germany, he bought the well-known Homeopathic Pharmacy of Rademacher and Sheek in Philadelphia. He ran this business until his untimely death of typhoid fever in 1862.
