Biography
Martin Scott was a Colonel in the Mexican-American war. He was appointed a lieutenant in the army in April, 1814, became captain in the 5th infantry in August, 1828, and was promoted major in 1846. He became a lieutenant-colonel in Monterey where he led his regiment, and where he was killed at the Battle of Molino del Rey. Martin Scott married Lavinia McCraken.
