Julius J. Wood is referenced in Frances Miller Seward's letter to her sister Lazette Miller Worden in December of 1861. According to Frances, Wood "is on his way either to Washington or Columbus" when he visited them for the evening. He lived in Syracuse, NY and later in Columbus, OH where he was postmaster from 1865-1870. Julius Wood is mentioned multiple times in "The Life of Thurlow Weed" as a zealous supporter of William Henry Seward.
