My dear W Henry
I am strongly solicited
by several Gentlemen to ask your attention
to their Various applications for [ plasers ]

are anxious to obtain from the Governor
& Senate.
VIZ Col John Cooper of the City of NY for an
Inspector of distilled spirits. The Col has
lived some years a neighbor to us. He is
an honorable Industrious sound man
strongly attached to the cause of the people
and One who's interest I should be gratified
to see promoted
“ Doctor Thomas Pitts
now of the Town of Goshen— formerly a
Jackson
Warm supporter of the Whig Election. The Dr
appears like a Gentlemen. Says he can pre-
sent you the best testimonials of his fitness
for the Office from the City. If so it would
be gratifying to see him promoted to the
Office of Health Officer.

establishment in Goshen is out of business
has applied to Judge Wickham
Ogden Hoffman
him in obtaining some small Office by which
he may honestly support a little family
Mr Thompsons habits are good you are
well acquainted with him and hope
you may lite on some thing that will
be of use to him
