and family has obtained an education and
is now a practitioner of Medicine but owing
to delicate health he is not able to pursue
that arduous business in the country and
therefore is anxious to obtain a clerkship
in some of the departments at Washington
with a small sallery untill he can con-
vince them that he is honest faithfull
and capable and thus obtain a surgical
situation in the Navy — In this matter he
seems to be strongly impressed that you
can assist him and therefore asks your
favourable consideration of the subject
