Auburn March 28th 1844
My dear Father,
The written letter from John C. Clark
Birth: 1793-01-14 Death: 1852-10-25
shows
truly that I stipulated with him that the interest on the
Bond and Mortgage of Mr Chamberlin
 Death: 1851-09-18
should commence
on the 9th of December and of course the first semi-annual
payment will be due on the 9th day of June.
There is no reason to doubt the most absolute punctu-
ality with the payments as they become due.
I am very affectionately
Your son
William H. Seward
