your beloved Mother has been [hole]
some days very low – Fever and exhaustion [hole]
she at [ lenth ] consented we should call in [ Dr ]
Jansen we got her bled and some Molass[ es ]
she is today a little revived but still w[ eak ]
If you go to New York Call and see us —
I received a letter yesterday for a [hole]
Jon M Sherwood requesting a stay of [hole]
years payment of $1000 of principle on S[ her- ]
woods bond – I gave him not a word o[ f ]
encouragement – and now submit [ the ]
whole matter to you as to [ pospone ] [hole]
payment of principle finance I could [hole]
differently – But as [ to ] the soundness of [hole]
security the clear[ ages of C ] ircumstances [hole]
terms and safety of [ wo ] rking or not I [ leave ]
altogether to you – R[ emembering ] that in m[ ost ]
Case the security is to be impair[ ed ] by del[ ay ]
Will you please [ causously ] D[ e ] side in [hole]
