has just called and
desires me to say she will be happy
to return to your family the 1st of
December, if you desire that she should,
and that she is pleased to hear from
you & know that you are well.
I regret that you should be

may be so much better before
that time that your family
circle need not be broken.
If you do not expect to be
here at the opening of the session
& of your house, are there not
some home arrangements to be
made which you would like me
to look after? Any thing you may
entrust to me shall be well
done so far as the best wishes
for you can effect it, & it shall be
a real satisfaction to me to be at all

useful to you.
I thank you for the kind
interest you express in the health
& happiness of my family. We are
all well & happy & have in our
nursery an opening bu lad of three
months old, most promisingly fair.
Please present our best regards
to Gov. Seward
