Albany, May 2
My dear Mother
I received your letter
with fathers
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
check yesterday and am glad to hear that you intend coming home
so soon for I think the months of May
& June are two of the most pleasant ones
we have at home.
I have been intending to go up home
for the last three weeks but have not yet
carried out my intentions for I find
every Saturday night that I am too busy
to leave the store and therefore put it
off until the next week.
I saw Fred
Birth: 1830-07-08 Death: 1915-04-25
yesterday for the first
time in nearly two weeks he told me that
Anna
Birth: 1834-03-29 Death: 1919-05-02
arrived home safely last Sunday I have not been up to see her yet as I
have not had time and besides
I thought I would write until they
were fairly settled in the new house,
they moved I believe last Friday.
I called on Mrs. Schoolcraft
Birth: 1834-07-25 Death: 1922-02-28
week before last but did not find her at home.
Nicholas
Birth: 1801-12-24 Death: 1893-02-15
was in the store yesterday to see me he says that himself and

“came down two weeks ago” I hope you will excuse this short letter
as I am very tired and am going to
bed. I have ^worked^ seventeen hours out of the
twenty four every day for the past week and
last night I was up most of the time
with “Cole”
Unknown
my roommate who was sick. Love to all.
Your affectionate son
Will
