Auburn, July 4th
Dear Henry
Fanny
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
is improving - today
and yesterday she took a long drive
& tonight she is feeling quite cheerful
& stronger than she has been since
her fever left her. She was happy
to receive a letter from you last night
& glad to know you were better & Fred-
erick
Birth: 1830-07-08 Death: 1915-04-25
gaining so rapidly. Fanny
came up to my house last night to
avoid the noise of the celebration -
she will go back to her own room
tomorrow. With kindest remem-
brances to all[ . ]
