Wednesday morning
My dear Henry,
There has a letter come to you
from Mr Seammerhorn
impertinence to open though admonished by the super-
scription not to do so. After mature deliberation
I have concluded to forward it as it is possible
you may not take Rochester in your route.
We have all been very well since yesterday morning
which seems a long time to me. I did not sleep
much and then was disturbed with frightful dreams
I received a letter from Marcia
to say to her that I am much obliged. I was very
glad to hear particularly from all the family. Tell
her that Clara
liberal provision in the way of dried fruit apple
sauce &c, we thought we had accomplished
considerable in drying a bushel of apples. I
am very happy to hear that Marcia’s health has
improved do not fail to remember me affectionately
to all. Old Mr Lathrop
ing, he called to get a book you promised him.
I am anxious to hear you have arrived in health
and safety, it is freezing this morning, the
little boys are studying their lessons in a loud
voice. Mrs Benedict
Your own Frances.
