My dear Pa
Ma
this morning. I did not know that you had
bought the pony
should have thanked you before. I thank
you now a great many times. The Whigs had
a great supper at the American Hl Hotel
Wednesday night and let all the Whigs come
with out paying. Peter and Mr McClallen
went and stayed until 11 oclock. I went up
to the rail road Tuesday, and there are two lumber
cars there, I rode on one a great ways — — This
morning was very cold, there was snow on
the ground an inch and a half deep, I road on my
sled by the carriage platform down hill.
The Siamese Twins were here
Tuesday night,
I went to see them because I had forgotten how
they looked before. It has got to be so cold
that we do not send the cow to pasture and
the ducks can hardly get along through the
snow. I study a latin lesson every night
and recite it in the morning Grandpa
has got 2 barrels of cider from, Mr Littles
farm, it is very sweet and we are mak ^e^ ing
apple sauce of some of it, Snip
