Wednesday afternoon
My dearest Henry,
I am much afraid that you are ill
you wrote Monday that you were suffering with a
sudden fever –to day I have no letter – Pray let
Mr Underwood
Birth: 1818-02-08 Death: 1881Certainty: Probable
write if you are unable – The
papers which you so kindly send furnish us much
entertainment — I am exceedingly obliged to Mr Greely
Birth: 1811-02-03 Death: 1872-11-29

for his effusions— I am deliberating whether
to send them to Lazette
Birth: 1803-11-01 Death: 1875-10-03
or put them carefully away
with the Addresses — think I shall send them if she
will promise to take care that they are returned –
I am glad we are to have a view of the old mansion
it is a beautiful place, to me the only green spot in Albany –
Excuse me from sitting for my picture at present
I am not half so well as you seem to think – the
reason continues though mitigated and many other
indescribable and unexplainable symptoms —

Clara
Birth: 1793-05-01 Death: 1862-09-05

lonely I shall be – She takes with her one of the
maids
Unknown
I shall be left alone with Maria
Unknown
until
I am fortunate to hear of some one else –
Mrs William Wood
Birth: 1807 Death: 1842-06-06
died at Buffalo, with billious
fever; a few days ago – her
Unknown were sent but
could not have reached there before her death —
The weather continues cold and unpleasant except
Sunday – – hard frost night before last which however
spared our garden much more than many others in
the village— The tulips have given place to peonys
and lillies – roses a few – The rain which
is falling to day will be useful —
I have a letter from Augustus
Birth: 1826-10-01 Death: 1876-09-11
to day – nothing
from Clarence
Birth: 1828-10-07 Death: 1897-07-24
Frederick
Birth: 1830-07-08 Death: 1915-04-25

Mr Hopkins
Unknown
very inferior to Mr Parsons
Unknown

I sent for John Richardson
Birth: 1780-12-19 Death: 1849-04-14
but he has not come
yet — Please send me some money if you are
not coming pretty soon – your own
Frances
Remember me kindly to Sam
Birth: 1820-03-09 Death: 1893-07-07
if he
is still with you —
