Wednesday morning –
My dear Henry,
The Whigs being defeated you
will not be very likely to have any information
from this quarter – I write what I hear from
Mc Clallen
The county has gone against Morgan
not known – Seneca County a large majority
for the Loco's – Rochester every ward Loco –
this is all that I have heard – this town
gave Morgan a majority – I am unable to learn
how much – I would wait until Pa
home to dinner but my letter will be too
late for the mail – There has been so
much confidence and enthusiasm among the
Whigs for the last week that I had hoped for
a different result — Love to Fred
