Monday morning
My dear Sister,
Your letter came last evening, even
sooner than I had anticipated— I am glad
to hear of your safe arrival and if I could
believe Mark Sibley's
Birth: 1796-11-06 Death: 1852-09-08
letter I might add
of Worden's
Birth: 1797-03-06 Death: 1856-02-16
comfortable situation— I am
sorry that letter came in company with
your "honest" one— I separated them as
speedily as possible I almost wonder
that they did not separate themselves
on the way— I do not believe Pecksniff
a fiction— that letter would have done
his character credit in his palmiest days
I should like to have had good Mr
Benedict
Birth: 1785-11-07 Death: 1862-07-15
's opinion of the two together—
I am very glad you went— I do hope you will
be able to keep the skif "skilful physicians"
and "good nurses" from killing Worden— give
my love to him and tell him not to take
any more opium if he can help it— I look
anxiously for your next letter— Henry
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
has
gone to Lyons and taken all the children
x Birth: 1828-10-07  Death: 1897-07-24  Birth: 1830-07-08  Death: 1915-04-25

and Sister Fan
Birth: 1844-12-09 Death: 1866-10-29
— I am of course left in sole charge
of baby which must be my apology for this scrawl
If you should see Abbey
Birth: 1822 Death: 1895-09-16
please say to her that her
box has gone— Henry found it at the depot some
days after I sent it over and redirected it to the
care of Thomas
Unknown
who lives at the Eagle I
have very stupidly forgotten his other name— I will
write again when I have more leisure Your own
Sister—
