My Dear Brother
I wrote you a
few days since and expected
to have mailed my letter in
Goshen, but Sarah
have written to her Aunt
and was prevented which will
excuse my neglect to inform
you how Fathers
From the day that you left
us he has continued very much
the same, indeed there appeared to
be no change, his appetite for

and wake and restless at night
is most of the time quiet and

family left us—
Sarah has been confined to
[ he ]
Alternate Text: her bed since Sunday with a
poisoned face, imagine how a
person would appear with their
eye lids swollen like small eggs
her lips larger than your fingers
her face in like manner and them
red as fire and burning almost
beyond endurance and you will have
a just conception her situation
for the last two or three days
but it now appears to be better
she can begin to see by pulling
her eye lids open and swallows a
little, she is a fright.

on Sunday, we feel that it is
a great loss in the community
