Friday July 19th
My dear Henry,
I have your letter
of Tuesday. I glad you
all continue well.
When "Fidelity, Constancy,
Justice & Humanity" are
more fashionable the world
will be greatly improved.
we must wait until that
time comes to have those
qualities appreciated.
I send a letter to Caroline
She intends to go to New Jersey
during her vacation. Then
she can come here or go to

Florida as she prefers.
You will advise her.
Clarence
Monday and seemed
much better – since that
time I have not seen
him. I hear of him
going to Dr Brigg's
Mr Blatchfords
he has not been there
since they left, Monday
now. His peculiarities
give me some uneasiness.
I hope a wife will make
him more happy than
he seems now.
William Sackett
met here unexpectedly

Yesterday – both dined
with us. I was glad
to see a face from Washington.
Mrs Taylor
a kinder friend than Mrs
Meredith
are there. You have my
letter on this.
I do not know when this
will reach you as the
overflowing of the Mohawk
has occasioned another break
in the rail-road.
Love to the boys and Mr
Schoolcraft
Your own
Frances.
Mr Sackett says there is no
probability of an adjournment
before Sep.
