I, George W Seward, having been advised
that the said executors have intimated
that I with my wife

and my infant son
Charles Humphrey Seward

as a conse-
quence were to take and occupy as a
dwelling place the house and premises
in the Village of Florida now in posses-
sion of Mr Brooks Parmalee
Birth: 1808
and having
signified my consent to do so, Yet to a-
void all misapprehension if any
should arise. I think proper in my own
behalf and a duty as the parent
and natural and legal Guardian of my
said son Charles in his behalf to protest
to the action or doings in the premises or
the failure to act or to do on the part
of said Executors or either of them or of

my five eldest Children or either of them
or their Guardian as the case may be and
with a sincere wish to excuse and hold in-
nocent any or either of the above specified
parties who may in truth or justice be
so held and with an equal wish to hold
myself (as I hold them or either of them)
responsible for all wrong doing in the
matter and which deprives or withholds
or otherwise restains either myself or my
said son Charles of or from the possession
or enjoyment of any natural or acquired
or legal right or privilege as well under
and by the will of said deceased as other-
wise to and in and of the house, premises
or property or right of any name, now
in possession of my Children, or said
Executors or either of them and so with-
held as the case may be, nor do I in-
tend by taking and occupying said
house and premises to forfeit or im-
pair any right or privilege in any
wise acquired.
A similar letter will be addressed to
each of the Executors, and to the
Children and sent through mail
