My dear Gus,
I beg pardon
for being so negligent in
answering your, letter, the
gifts were recived with much
pleasure — We see by the
papers that Fred
had a serious time at the
commencement of their journey,
I hope the continuation
will be more successfull —
We are all well as usual.
We were rather expecting to
see Father
but the papers were mistaken,
we shall be glad to see him
and you with him, at any time
