Virginia Collins Jones Miller was the daughter of Gen. Walter Jones and Anne Lucinda Charles of Washington, D.C. In 1833, she married Dr. Thomas Miller, a physician of the same city, with whom she had eight children. She is mentioned in Frances "Fanny" Seward's 1858-1859 diary.
