My dear Father
As Mother
Birth: 1805-09-24 Death: 1865-06-21

did not write today I
thought I would – I
have been sick since I wrote
last – but am able to go
out now – We have all
been into the garden – it
is very pleasant – The cro-
cuses are beginning to
blossom and the robins
are getting quite numer-
ous – There were a great
many nutshells on the
walk near the summer-
house which the squirrels
had gnawed into very
curious shapes –
