My dear Gus,
This morning I received
a letter from Olive Risley
"Jan. 2d Hong Kong." She says
Father
enjoying himself very much.
Fred
spent last Sunday with us.
They went from here to Elmira
to see Mrs Randall
Frances Chesebro
a short visit. Will
expecting to start for California
on the 20th of March, it is really
necessary for Will to go away
from his business for a while.
It's very hard for me to leave
the children but it is equally hard
to have Will go away, and as

he is not well and the children
are, and I can leave them in
such excellent care (Cora Richardson
I have decided to go, we should
love to see you before we go, but I
don't suppose that is possible –
I suppose Aunty
Will had a telegram from Father
from Madras, telling of money
drawn, and "well"
I don't know but this may find
you in Louisville, I hope you will
go there as I know you want to.
My brother always

love to you. All are well–
