The second wife of BJS. Married the month before BJS's death, which occurred in February of 1841. Mary Louisa was the daughter of John I. Mumford, the editor of the New York Standard, and Clar(ind)a Louisa Underhill. Mary Louisa had 4 siblings: Ferdinand, John Page, Julia, and Angelina. Mary Louisa was the first cousin of Samuel Blatchford -- John I.'s sister, Julia Ann Mumford Blatchford, was Samuel's mother.
